Colavito is an Agricultural and Natural Resource Economist and seasoned grant writer who has secured over $70 million in funding for high-impact projects across the U.S., Asia, Africa, and Latin America. As a grant writer, Luke’s approach is to integrate deep technical knowledge, field-based research, and a strategic storytelling approach to build clear, compelling, and evidence-based cases for funding. He’s helped organizations win support from bilaterals, multilaterals, foundations, corporate philanthropies, and impact investors.
While leading a decade-long program in Nepal, Luke led initiatives that improved incomes, food, and nutrition security for over 600,000 smallholder families through sustainable agriculture—directly benefiting more than 3 million people.
